The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). In this digital platform the application was going to accept in many of the universities like UGC (University Grant Commission) and AICTE (All India Technical Education Council) scholarships along with offered by central and state governments.

To apply through the NSP 2.0 portal You will have to meet the eligibility requirements set out below for any scholarship under the central and state government.

  • First of all, go to the National Scholarship Portal’s official website.
  • You may need to click on the “Support” section on the website homepage.
  • Now you can open a drop menu so that you can click the option “eligibility criteria scheme”.
  • The details as given below like Ethnicity, Caste / Community Group, State / UT Home, Course Level, Gender, Annual Parent Income, Whether Disabled, etc.
  • Finally enter the details in CAPTCHA code so now press eligibility button.

How can Students log in to the National Scholarship Portal?

Candidates must register on the Student Login page, fill out the standard application form, and include their personal and academic information in order to take advantage of the above-mentioned government scholarships. You will be able to see a list of all the scholarships you are eligible to apply for after filling out all the appropriate information and completing the application form.

  • Next, link to the NSP’s official web site.
  • Find the ‘Student Login’ tab on the home page, and click on it.
  • You must register with the National Stipend Portal before applying for a scholarship.
  • Provide all the information in this section within the appropriate fields.
  • You will be issued with a 20 digit Temporary Registration Number after entering all details and submitting the information.
  • The temporary identification number is also forwarded for future reference to the applicant’s registered mobile phone.
  • You must save your temporary registration number before your application process has been completed and a permanent registration has been issued.
  • Provide correct personal information and data about your bank account.
  • Ensure that the specifics above are correct, as the value of the scholarship is transferred using personal and bank account information.
  • Fill in your current and previous academic information in the Academic section.
  • You will be able to see the various scholarships you are eligible to apply depending on the specifics of your qualification and category i.e. SC / ST / Disabled / Minority etc.
